More importantly, how many African Americans realize this?

At the many Black History Month conferences, exhibits, etc., I wonder if these historical items are mentioned (i.e. For sure, the last item is, but what about the other two below:)

1972 - Blacks (upset about Mark Clark and Fred Hampton, Sr. deaths via some cops) elected Republican Bernard Carey over Democrat Ed Hanarahan.

In 1980, this lesson was forgotten when Daley II (our current mayor/"king") defeated Carey. :(

1979 - During the height of the 1979 Blizzard, incumbent Mayor Bilandic says "What snow?" and most el trains bypass "Black" stops. Thus, Jayne Byrne defeated Bilandic.

1983 - When Bryne replaced Blacks (including Michael Scott?) with anti-busing Whites on the School Board, embraced the Vrdolyak 29, etc., Blacks said "Enough!". Thus, Harold Washington defeated Bryne.

2010 - Will Blacks elect Michael Brady over Pat Quinn? :)Rudyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02283729709601814103noreply@blogger.com
